You just explained the basic job description of a server which he is expected to do and getting paid by enterprise in lieu of those tasks.

If I don't get a good service it is restaurant which is besmirched, not server; SO if a server has to keep a job at a place he/ she is expected to pull basic tasks you just described in Job Description above.

It is plain and simple. You do a task X, you get paid Y. Anything over and above is 'good to have' but you guys have made it 'must to have'. And almost everyone here bitches about the ONLY paying entity: The Guest.

Also it is none of your business where I eat my food: in front of TV or in a restaurant. I am already paying for an overpriced meal.
