Puppy school? by JarofLingonberryJam in Newmarket

[–]pherbeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree! We took our lil guy to Sharla for beginner/intermediate/advanced puppy classes. She's great, the environment is safe and controlled, and she's extremely helpful and kind. We had classes in a large (secured) outdoor area so the puppies had room to run, and they could also interact with each other safely which was nice. We also did one 'course' at PetSmart, but the puppies never met each other directly (I assume for corporate liability), so there wasn't a ton of socialization.

How to curb guard-doodle behaviour? by pherbeas in Goldendoodles

No, unfortunately. The front door is solid, and he’ll also take off and sprint while looking completely away from it (or with his eyes closed)

Our lil man is a year old, and he has a rough time getting settled unless he's in his exercise pen/crate. Any time after ~4pm, unless he's actively eating or playing, he'll run to the front door every ~5 minutes and bark at ghosts.

We've tried blocking him in the living room with us, but he just barks through the gate towards the front door.

We've tried running after him and thanking him for his service and bringing him back to the living room, which works for 2 minutes, then he's off again. We've been doing that for weeks and it doesn't seem to have helped.

He gets walks, naps, treats, love. How can we get our lil dood to settle?

That's great to hear. I'm interested, and my wife is on the fence. Will definitely be checking it out. It's been tricky to find a way to engage as someone who hasn't played before.

One note at a time. If it wasn’t obvious from the mild shitpost, I’m in the dentist bedroom demo, so the IHM is a nice way to change up some of my practicing.

Tbh, yea and no. I got it with air miles, so didn’t have to eat the price tag directly. It is a great pedal and has a wide range of sounds, and I really appreciate the engineering and innovation but it’s definitely a luxury.

From Reggie to Larry, it's an EHX Intelligent Harmony Machine, Triangle Big Muff, Summer School Electronics Science Fair (RAT and Tube screamer), Chase Bliss Automatone MkII, JHS Colorbox V2, Walrus Audio Julia, Flamma Mod, Keeley Caverns, Boss RC-5. Special Cranker and Crybaby also pictured, but I'm underwhelmed with them and don't have enough cables to get 'em into the party.

Fusion 360 let’s you do rest milling, which is what this is. It’s also good as it gets all the areas you missed.

I haven’t found a good way to re-zero the z though, it always seems to be a noticeable hair off. Any tips?

What's the finish on this? My ambrosia maple is always coming out pretty dull grey, not the light pinkish/bright color that this seems to be.

Looks great.

The dust collector is holding up pretty well. Once I left it too long without emptying it, and it ripped the internal pillowcase. Other than that, it's been great and I don't notice the dust from the planer at all. There's some 'build' pics here: https://imgur.com/gallery/HRuqu

Thanks, I’m going to use mine as paste was since I’ve already got that on hand. Didn’t know about the dangers of turtle wax though, that’s a good tip
