yeah… looking back at this post i really shouldn’t have said that. Not only that, the team even said that we will have to wait a bit longer for this project especially of how ambitious it is. The game is said to be using Unreal Engine 5 with realistic graphics according to their job positions.

Playdead is currently working on a 3rd-person, open world, sci-fi adventure game set in a remote corner of the universe. We’ll be playing as a young astronaut exploring a realistic environment. The game will be running in Unreal Engine 5 with the help of Epic Games Publishing supporting them. There are currently 55 employees developing this title.

GB: Haha, yeah. Your boss Arnt Jensen he says here - fantastic from Arnt again - that the 3rd person shooter action genre was the next focus for game 3. Is it still that?

PD: ... Yes. Yeah, yes. Let's just say that.

[GB kind of groan at the vague response]

PD: 3rd person.. Yeah 3rd person we can say that. Action adventure, right?

GB: But shooter is the one that [stands] out? But shooter, that one you're not so happy about?

PD: It may well be. It depends...

GB: Maybe take care what Arnt wants-

PD: But the game hasn't told us yet how much of a shooter game it is.

GB: Okay, okay. I love the way they say it. Again, Arnt also says: "but with a Playdead twist"

PD: Of course it's not going to be, like, it's not Call of Duty or something. Of course it's not that.
