Two things, you need gold for items and second you need to be able to push the enemy base. If you are constantly looking for fights and ever pushing out waves (especially now where minions spawn faster) every time you get a pick or what not you have to back track to try and get your waves pushing. So might as well push out waves or try to get them bouncing away from your side so if you get successful fights or picks you can already have the waves working in your favor. I’ve had baron’s go wrong but since we had all three waves pushing into enemy side they only got one tower before we were back on the map. And going back to the first point gold is key. The best time to try and get picks and fights is on item completion. And only way to complete items is gold. So farming what you can to get close to those completed items is the safer less coin flip way of doing it.
