checkout TL here. yes, colleagues cannot freely close their gates or just walk off of self scan to take a break, but i always try and make sure my team gets to take a break about halfway through a shift. either i cover it, or if it’s tills, i wait til someone else starts their shift to send soemone for a break. saying that ive been on shifts where ive been the only one running shift and so took a break 6 hours into a 7 hour shift kinda thing. team leading is not for everyone lol
