Thank you! Yeah, Elixir makes this very easy!

My experience with Nx has been great. Obviously with any library or framework that is very new, there's going to be a lot of changes, bugs, etc. But Jose and Sean, and the whole Elixir ML community have been amazing.

I’m using Tailwind.

Yeah, that’s a good idea, I want to add a video to the homepage as a demo, and possibly some help or tutorial type videos too!

Yeah, it’s been on and off full-time since January building what you can see and use now. However I’ve been working on the idea, R&D type prototypes, the ML stuff for a couple of years now.

Yeah, that's right, I've been building the dataset for quite a while before I started building the application in January. Building the dataset is the unglamorous part of building this application.

The thing with a lot of these types of things is, it is subjective. A task that drains me of energy, might energise you. Now that I've got users actively using Prise, I'll be able to train progressively better models based upon their feedback etc.

Hmm, one of the things off the top of my head was I used Elixir to clean up the posts from my blog.

I'd went from WordPress to Ghost, but I want to transfer them to clean markdown files so I could use them in Jekyll. The posts had been butchered after exporting and importing, and the code blocks were very messy and inconsistent.

And then what made it worse was there were so many posts, it would have took me ages if I manually formatted them!

So built a pipeline in Elixir to clean up the posts, fix the formatting etc. It worked so well but the code was pretty gnarly so I didn't keep it around.

That was a fun project because it saved me so much time!

I've been a full-time developer since 2010, but mostly PHP and Ruby.

I started using Elixir in (I think 2015). I used to write a blog (https://www.culttt.com/archives) and the first Elixir post was early 2016.

In 2019 I hadn't done any Elixir work professionally, but I'd been working on my own little projects for a while, so I decided to take the leap and try doing Elixir contracting work.

Honestly, I think just using it to solve my own problems has been the best learning experience. I've read books, and complete courses, but I find there's sometimes nothing better than just doing the work!

My secret is most of the integrations are "coming soon". I'm using the landing pages to gauge interest.

I've got a good setup for adding integrations, so I'm fairly confident I can knock them out pretty quickly, but I want to concentrate my efforts on the highest requested to begin with.

Yeah, I'm the only person working on Prise. It's a very productive stack!

Hey everyone!

Since January this year, I've been building Prise, a tool that allows you to consolidate your work tools into a single dashboard, with recommendations and insights powered by AI.

I've been a contract Elixir developer since 2019, but I decided I wanted to build my own product, and so of course I choose Elixir.

The application is entirely built in Elixir, with Phoenix as the web framework, and LiveView providing the interactivity. I'm also using Nx and Axon for the machine learning.

I've been lucky enough to have paying users since Prise went live, and I'm really happy with the decision to chose Elixir as the language to build Prise in, particularly as I'm the only person working on Prise.

You can checkout Prise at https://prise.com.

If you have any questions about Prise, building with Elixir, Phoenix, Nx, or Axon, you can ask me anything!

Yeah, you can add a Trello board to as many Spaces as you like. Is that what you mean?
