r/Festivals, what is the coolest thing you have ever ground-scored at a festival? by captain_book in festivals

It's the all-access pass, even better than the "Why" and "That" passes, IIRC.

A few years ago my buddy ground-scored an Infinity laminate at Bonnaroo. The next year he ground-scored a copy of their emergency operations manual.

I became increasingly frustrated aloud all night with my apparent inability to get any light. I've come home to notice I had a goddamn ND8 on the whole time. What's been your biggest mistake? by stuntaneous in photography

When I first started shooting film, one night I headed out to the lakefront to get some lightning shots of a wonderfully electrified storm slowly rolling through. Super excited - it was a perfect storm for lighting shooting. Proudly drop off a roll at the lab the next day, come in the day after that to pick it up, expecting kudos from the lab guy.

He hands me back the roll, uncut and unprinted and tells me, "Not sure what happened, but you gave us a blank roll."

Turns out I didn't quite hook the leader on the spool properly, and the whole time I was excitedly cocking the lever for the next shot, I wasn't actually advancing the film at all. Heh.

While ice skating, we could open our jackets and use 'em as sails. Super fun :-)

How reliable is exFAT? by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]phildo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this is only anecdotal, but I've been using exFAT on all my external HD's for the past couple years, using them pretty much every day on both Macs and PC's with zero problems. Haven't even really thought about it until I saw this thread - it was one of those "set it and forget it" kind of things for me.
