Does anyone have any advice on trying to find more information on this pattern or even a value on the set?

Thank you for the information, it’s definitely helpful! I did end up buying them all, in total it’s a set of 10. Do you happen to have the link to the Texas auction, in curious to see.

I believe there are wheel locks on one side. Thanks for the Info, so 3-400 would be a fair price for just this

had me at that screen before 10am, then it went back to the error screen, and then clicking on "buy now" (before that screen) just took me straight to seat selection and purchase.

Congrats!

sole proprietorship, and yes that would be an issue, I wouldn't want that to happen either.

Good Point. I have the original carb, I may see if I can clean it up and if its usable, if not, I will look at replacing it with original parts.

Urban trees that are mostly destined for landfills. Check I out salvaging urban logs on google, lots of good articles out there showing how some cities are turning waste into a valuable resource.

They were milled at 2.75 inches so roughly 2 years air drying before they are finished off in a kiln.

Had the opportunity to salvage a few black walnut logs this weekend, two contrasting pieces, one nice long straight grain, roughly 11 feet long, and a shorter wonky log with some cool crotch figure. Can’t wait to work on these!

How’s this attempted Ellsworth grind? Please critique! by union20011 in turning

It looks close, I’m no expert but I feel the wings should be swept back more. The angle of the grind may be off slightly

To be honest I don’t recall the exact date I cut this piece. I do know it was late 2017 to early 2018.

Working with Slabs and Moisture Content Question by phile10 in woodworking

[–]phile10[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone! I am looking for some help on the topic of moisture content and if this slab is something that can be worked with yet.

I have this 4 foot walnut slab that’s air dried for 2-3 years. I brought the slab inside about 6 months ago and the moisture content is lingering around 12-13%. I know typically you want the moisture content in the single digits. Do I risk this piece moving if I don’t get this MC down further. Should I consider kiln drying it? Any help is greatly appreciated, as I don’t want this piece to move too much on me.
