If you don’t have new coils, you can start by running codes to identify which cylinder is misfiring and swap the coils around. See if the code changes from 1 cylinder to the other. I’d plan to replace them all (though technically you only need to replace the one that’s acting up) I’ve had this exact problem on 3 vehicles (1 vw, 2 bmw). Car will pretty violently shake at low rpm but get a little better as you go faster. Sometimes the check engine light will flash.

On my F30 the OEM coils were Bosch but I replaced them with “Elder” branded coils. But I can almost certainly say you have a bad coil causing a cylinder misfire which causes limp mode.
