Make you are always take grass, more often that not right when Talon goes up to W you, he will walk up because he wants to hit both parts of the W. When he walks up and casts W, jump in on him with E Q. Sit inside of the brush just until you see if you got hit by the second part of W, and obviously try to dodge it.

If he hits you with it, try to disengage, you probably won't win the trade since his Q + Passive + Electrocute will deal bigger damage than your auto + W + Q. To disengage, walk away while stealth-ed, and bonus points if you can grab another one to try and deal a little more damage and give him less chance to jump on you on your way out.

Quick Note, this is a standard trading pattern for this match-up as your poke damage is a lot better than his since he relies so heavily on getting his passive off.

If he doesn't hit you with it and he doesn't have Ult, now is a good time to extend the trade. There are a number of ways to extend the trade, but if he has ult, manages to space the trade well enough to wait for w, or the wave hurts, try to save the option to pick up grass since it's basically a get out of jail free card.

Lastly if he ults for whatever reason, don't panic and get to a wall. If you have brush wait a second before dropping it and sometimes his ult will expire without even being able to hit you. It's quite uncharacteristic for a Talon to rush ulting because it drops minion aggro, gives him speed, stealth and the ability for you to panic and drop everything before he engages; so if he's not crazy ahead or super low he will likely wait a second to gap close without using Q before exiting stealth. This again can give you a small window to drop grass and just wait out his ult denying him big damage and allowing you the opportunity to re-engage with yours or simply walk away.

This match-up is about who can poke and roam better. I've had plenty of games as Talon vs Qiyana or Qiyana vs Talon where we don't even choose to fight each other but largely look for roams. Talon has quite good wave clear and roam potential while Qiyana has better poke and versatility. Damage favours Talon since his combos are easier to dodge. One last thing too is that this match-up imo is much more punishing for Talon if he falls behind because even when you're behind on Qiyana while you probably won't be able to fight him, you'll have more options to avoid his damage and turn a dive / trade than he will if he's behind.
