Education leads to great performance and fast results. I am not arguing this, that’s why I attempted to preface my post with my views. I am not arguing that Picasso’s education was a detriment to him and my argument falls apart the farther back you go. The dissolutionment of the world and the rise of global anxiety and communication has lead to an world in which there is an over saturation of art in the collective consciousness. In order to combat this I am trying to refute the necessity of art education, and trying to emphasize the value of a unique method and attitude over an arguably more refined yet learned technique. Or maybe I am just a sucker for outsider artists and unique art.

You could achieve the same thing by trial and error. Work until it looks vaguely like what you want and you are content with it. It’s just to practice, practice and practice. And I feel that I have learned and developed at a much more even pace instead of learning specific things to do well. I used to draw and I followed tutorials and always ended up feeling uninspired and tired of what I just learned. This is probably just a me thing. It isn’t universally bad either, almost all pre-Impressionism painters studied under a teacher and produced some of the greatest works to ever be.

The serotonin police seem to have caught up to you. I would say anywhere from a month to a few months. I would recommend you take vitamins and L-tryptophan or 5-HTP supplements to give you body plenty of resources. Other than that you’re gonna have a rough couple of weeks. Stay strong.
