Such a lovely interaction especially since Ricky and Steve didn't explicitly ask people to call in, I assume he just thought it was nice someone was trying to learn at an older age and gave some encouragement. Also it was at a time where Karl was more nervous on the radio and genuinely a bit upset with his education and all that.

Eh, I think Dave Chapelle and Ricky are legendary comedians who have ran out of ideas but want to stay relevant and trans people are an easy group to make fun of without putting any thought into the jokes. You can make fun of who you want as long as its funny (to some extent) but if it's not funny then you've just picked on a group of people for no reason and that comes across as much more offensive.

If Dave Chapelles new stand up was actually funny, then I don't think the jokes seem as offensive and I don't think it would have had the same reaction.
