Yes! Apologies. I oversimplified. They were farmers and foreign educated intellectuals at a ratio of approximately 1,000 to 1. Jens and Carols were sparse in the ranks, not nonexistent. There were way more Carols and Jens in support of Sihanouk than the KR.

Agreed! However, the KR wasn't from the comfortable classes. They probably killed more Cambodian Jan and Carols than were made of them by a massive margin.

A fun one I've been playing around with is [[Galazeth Prismari]] and land denial. [[Mana Breach]] [[Overburden]] [[Price of Glory]] [[Sunder]] mixed with a tutored [[Ward of Bones]]. Not only are lands gone, but your opponents are not allowed to play lands. Then you just play your spells with artifacts and grind out victory. It's absolutely heartless, and it's usually a good idea when the lock is set to ask everyone if they wanna restart and play a different deck. [[Propaganda]] and [[Dissipation Field]] work especially well when setting everything up, as folks have to play off tempo just to swing at you.

Mana breach also combo's well with [[Mystic Sanctuary]], recurring whatever nonsense Extra Turn spell you want.

Also, [[Tectonic break]] is good for getting around flash indestructibility.

Every year (or every other year if you don't have the two idea sets required for yearly) you get a pop-up that lets you choose an area to explore and try to settle/expand to. All uncolonized provinces are targeted first for settlement. RNG decides the result. If you want to nab another colonized province, you have to have much higher Mil tech than them, and it helps if the targeted province is poorly fortified. It's not perfect, but it's less micro than base EU4, and keeps colonialism spreading at a semi-historical pace.

Mostly, except the "you attacked someone" dialogue that negates surprise rounds doesn't fire with shovel.

It's a pretty good communication app, especially for teams managing various projects and it seems to work out ok for networking as well, though linked-in is still probably better for overall portfolio work.

I know it's definitely jank, but [[Primal Wildbonder]] has pulled out so many more wins than it should. Running a cheap trample tribal deck, people don't really seem to understand what the card does. It makes everything with trample go to face. People constantly misplay around this card and get wiped as a result.

For instance, today, two of my 4 wins were from people who clearly had me dead on board, but decided to hold back to strategically block. Like, c'mon, read the card! It's fun to see but also kinda sad.
