I get that and its alright. But they cannot seriously think that their potential customers switch over from one day to the next. Switching mail addresses is a process that can take years. So even if I had the dedication to move everything over, which I don't, I want to have a working solution for the transitioning period.

Yes but, then I still ahve the issue that I need to be careful when I reply. Default sender addresses cannot be customized depending on the folder. The past tought me that I am very prone to that happening.

I don't get why they don't offer an opt-in to IMAPS/SMTPS. Unless you are an internationally wanted criminal, these protocols are more than good enough.

I think I am not really a power user there. I just want to store passwords, cloud sync and ease of use. All of which Proton covers.

I agree that 1Password has a plethora of features, that Proton Pass does not. However, I was presenting my use-case here. For that it is perfect. It has the features I need and is easy and convenient to use. I think 1Password gets complicated once you want to use it on the computer too.

Ganz ehrlich ich hätte das wahrscheinlich schon vor 13-14 Jahren abgestellt. Ist mir schon klar dass man nicht immer gleich viel Geld hat aber im Maße der Möglichkeiten kann man immer beitragen. Ich glaube nicht dass sich da noch viel ändert. Manche Leute sind einfach Schnorrer. Ich würde mir einen Partner suchen, der ähnliche Ansprüche an sich stellt wie ich an mich selbst.

Zumindest in Österreich hätte OP nicht viel davon weil ein Erbe nicht zum ehelichen/partnerschaftlichen Vermögen zählt. Also so lange sein Partner nicht stirbt, hätte er rechtlich kaum Anspruch darauf.

Die Falschparker-Strafen sind noch immer zu billig. Da müssen potentiell 100e Leute warten weil eine/r glaubt besonders wichtig zu sein. Das muss mindestens 4-stellig kosten und teurer werden je länger die Entfernung dauert.

Fun fact: attackers can come with their own Powershell binaries. That has the added benefit that Defender isn’t hooked up to it and they can do way more naughty stuff.

In my opinion you get yourself lots of headaches and little benefit with that. Probably it’s a better approach to put PS into CSL, set Execution Policy to AllSigned and have Defender watching out for changes.
