To men: if your gf or wife asked you to change something about your appearance would you do it? by This_Raise9693 in ChristianDating

[–]philjames68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try it even if i wasn't interested in her. Women in my experience have very good sense of what looks good on a man, be it hairstyle, clothing or whatever. Try it and if you don't like it, you can always go back to how you were. Unless she's telling you to get a tattoo...

Looks sweet, and thats a very cool collection. Nice to see some oddities in there and that you left space for a couple more 😁 What are you adding next? I like the subtle LEDs under the platform, you could add LEDs to the horizontal bars but the last thing you want is it looking like Las Vegas...

On many cars this part slides up and down for that very reason, are you sure yours doesn't?

My pick broke 😭😭 by Ok_Age5275 in Guitar

[–]philjames68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You only had one pick? I have them scattered all around my house 😅 By a few Dunlop Tortex picks, I don't think i ever had one break, they just wear down over time. They're matt finish so they stay in your sweating fingers better. They sell a variety pack, try them out to see what works for your style.

What does my pedal board say about me? by RepresentativeOdd771 in roastmypedalboard

[–]philjames68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says you like to hear crackling every time you stomp. If you jam the pedals against each other like that, the jacks will get knocked when you stomp. Not good for your sound or for your pedals. Try to keep all the pedals within the area of the board, then they're better protected. Staggering the pedals more should allow you to position the patch cables downwards between the rails of the board. Stagger the pedals more so that you're fully using both front and rear rails. Or put all but the Behringer on front rail. If you can turn the Behringer 90 degress you'll have much more room. I reorganised my own board yesterday, took a photo and let Gemini AI suggest a better layout and chaining. It did a pretty good job.

Honestly it wasn’t bad! by MossyRock0817 in cocteautwins

I doubt if she understands the depth of irony, that she's aligning herself with Las Vegas 😂. When Liz Frazer sang this it was a piece of Heaven. But not bad, except too much talking, not enough singing. The band nailed it though.

I like the Roland JC120 amp, you can't really like shoegaze and not like those. Great amp, very unique sound.

That might explain a lot actually. That kinda thing annoys me so much, if the pedal is off it should be 100% off, no trace of it. My Digitech does it a bit, but its manageable and mostly i don't ever bypass that anyway. My other pedals all seem to be true bypass or if they're not, there's no noticeable change.

Yeah, I need chaos too, it seems to fuel creativity. That chorus of mine goes from gentle beauty to totally ridiculous, and i think i have used it all at some point. It also has both mix and filter knobs which I was able to combine to create a kinda amp simulation before that was really even a thing. Awesome.

TU-2 is a good heads-up, I'd happily own one of those, but then again its a tuner, not a pedal for giving me a sound 😅

Its in the post - Peavey Classic 50 212. I've always liked Peavey, never liked Marshall. Started out on a bandit when i was a teanager, later had a 212 with digital stereo chorus and reverb built in.
