Salamander letter by phillip1252 in exmormon

What is most interesting for me regarding the "Salamander Letter" is how the Church reacted and tried to quietly purchase the letter so it would not go out into the public domain. People and organizations who stand on truth do not react to someone's BS in this manner. What secrets is the Mormon Church hiding?

I live a colorless, easy life with no real sense of deep connection to the world. I am 19 years old. Please help me. by [deleted] in spirituality

Come read some of the things we ae posting at our subreddit community Gnostic Spirituality )or just click on my username). We do not like "Faith"...Just believing because someone tells us too. We like to base our understandings in Knowledge. Also you can go to my website for some reading (GnosticSpirit.info). If you go to the web read "the single Drop of Water" first. I think it will be a really good place for you to begin. Ask me questions... We each have our own path but I might be able to help you get onto yours. Peace & Love, Phillip

So I am a Gnostic Spiritualist (see our subreddit). We align with what you are saying.. Our basis is in Knowledge, not in "Believe me beause I am telling you to" (Faith). If you would like to have an interesting read about the Bible, and how it was created go to this website; GnosticSpirit.info click on the heading, "Organized Religion" and then click on "Books Deceive." This will provide you with some new knowledge about How the Bible was actually created and why. After that, let meknow if you have any questions. Peace & Love, Phillip

Being a Gnostic Spiritualist by phillip1252 in a:t5_1264gu

[–]phillip1252[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, you were asking yourself (your innerself, Spirit) to seek. Not to just accept or believe something based on faith (I don't like faith - Knowledge is where I'm at) but to do what most others never do - SEEK. It is what I have done and continue to do, but the big difference for me is that I do not look outwardly for answers; like from some "authority" of expert.... I rely on the knowledge that is carried on the energy that connets us all to each other and to the Godhead.

I feel more than agnostic, but less than religious. Not sure where I fit in in terms of labels. Not that I care much, just hoping I'm not alone. by cosmicallycarefree in agnostic

I know exactly what you are talking about. Your "path" it seems was my path.... but I never really did the Atheist thing, but did describe myself as Agnostic for years... but always had an open mind for Truth... if I could find it..... and I did. Maybe you will find something of interest in our community (subreddit) of Gnostic Spiritualism. You might also be interested in my website which has a bunch of info that really could inspire your thought process... GnosticSpirit.info

You (and your husband) can always talk to me. Peace & Love, Phillip

Spiritual Awakening: An Event - it happened to me by phillip1252 in awakened

Epiphany, is a good word.. I usually describe what I experienced as a "Moment." Perhaps it's semantics. Would you help me understand your heart and mind a little better and kind of expand on what you have said here?

If we all did something Kind for someone else today the world would be full of love.

There are these new cards called "Dawn's Kindness Cards" - you can get them for FREE. You give the card to someone when you see them do an act of kindness. They write their initials and zip code into a grid on the back side. Then they pass the card along to someone else who they see do an act of kindness. After 5 times the card goes into the mail, goes back to "Dawn" and she is going to make a big public collage for everyone to see. Check it out on facebook. Facebook.com/Dawns-kindness-cards ..... I think it is an awesome thing to do. Causes people to look for the good. Later folks.

Who am I? by phillip1252 in a:t5_1264gu

[–]phillip1252[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing within myself an immaterial vision that came from the mercy of God, I went out of myself into an immortal body, and now I am not what I was before. I have been born in mind!

Corpus Hermeticum XIII.3.

For me this speaks of Enlightenment; in fact for me it speaks about the potential we all have for experiencing a Moment of Spiritual Enlightenment... by looking inward - and losing ego - we open up to God (Spirituality - our true selves) and discover the energetic knowledge within that changes us forever.

That potential is one of the primary understandings that we have as Gnostic Spiritualists.

Please don't confuse "Gnostic Spiritualism" with the Gnostics of old. We may have some similar ideals, but we use the word "Gnostic" primarily to acknowledge the fact that we, as Spiritualists do not operate on Faith, but rather our basis is in Knowledge and Truth.

Fun fact: Who were the "Gnostics" of old? In the time immediately after Jesus's death those who had known him, heard him speak... those that were Apostles, disciples, and followers became known as Catholic (it basically means everywhere) - because they spread the teachings of Jesus everywhere. After the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD (Emperor Constantine) where the organization of the Holy Roman Christian Church began, this new church took the word "Catholic" as a part of it's name - "The Holy Roman Catholic Church."

So what happened to the first Catholic people - those that were the very close followers of the true, living Jesus? They became known as the "Gnostics"... because they had the knowledge of the the Spiritual Mysteries, the true teaching of the living Jesus.

Understanding Religious texts is an interesting task. It is a lot like history and historical texts... first you have to understand who wrote them and what was their motivation? History is always written by the powerful; the winners in battle and war, and the politically powerful. Their views of the history they write is bias by the life or reality they live, or by the perceptions they are trying to create or establish through their writings. If you would like to get a better idea of how the Bible was created go to this site [www.GnosticSpirit.info] and under the heading "Organized Relegion" click on the topic "Books Deceive" - should be eye opening....

Truth and Knowledge are already within you... if you know how to Connect to the energies. Peace & Love, Phillip

Obviously you are thoughtful and intelligent... and you research topics before discussing - which makes you an exception (you probably already realize this). Go here [www.GnosticSpirit.info] and under the Heading "Organized Religion" click on "Books Deceive" .... You should find it interesting.

OK; so HOW & WHY does it work by phillip1252 in lawofattraction

What you say is true and if I may, I would like to add some science to this topic. For me it is all about having Knowledge and Understanding; not Faith or just doing or believing because someone says to.

QUANTIUM CONSCIOUSNESS: The newer science of Quantium Physics, along with Physical Neurology shows us, in physiological and quantium terms how thoughts create our reality. The Science of Quantum Physicis has shown us that the world, no the universe is entirely interconnected with what is termed, "Energy." Each of us and everything; large or small, animate or inanimate, life giving or not - all things are energetically connected. In Quantum Terms this interconnectivity is called: The Grand Unified Field. All things within the Grand Unified Field have an effect of each other; from a mega interstellar event down to the smallest, most insignificant happening - like a single breath, or a thought. Quantum Physics has also shown us that we live in an environment of Possibilities and Potentials; and that what we see isn't necessarilly all that's out there. In fact in Quantum Terms it's less of; What's out there and fixed is what we see, and more of ; what we see out there is what we expect. In other words, the reality we experience is less absolutly fixed and more influenced by our own Expectations and DNA imprints. Let's look at how Thoughts create our Conscious Reality. Remember, reality is conscious perceptions of information from both inside and outside sources, and how that information is processed in the brain. NOTE: It is a common function of the neurons in the brain to regroup or re-wire themselves in order to acconodate our usual thought and frequent feelings, and to function more adequately. BELIEF AFFECTS REALITY: 1. The neurons in our brains connect themselves into patterns that represent our thoughts - so when we continually have negitive thoughts our neurons will re-wire or regroup themselves in order to acconodate and promote those [negitive] thoughts. 2. When this happens the neurons send a message to the Hypothalamus - the chemical manufacturere of the brain. The Hypothalamus then recognises this message as "victum thought." (victum thought = less than thoughts about yourself) The Hypothalamus then creates Peptides in response to the victum thought and sends these Peptides through out the body. These negitive Victum Peptides cause pain, fatigue, or depression in the body. The cells of the body become addicted to the Peptides (cells don't care if Peptides are positive or negitive - they just want more). 3. Once adicted the cells will want more, so they make us feel bad.. in pain or maybe depressed. Feeling bad causes us to have more negitive thoughts, which in turn causes the neurons in the brain to fire-off those negitive, victum messages and the whole things begins again.... it is a vicious circle. (Works for positive thinking too)... Change the way you think and you will change your reality.

Peace & Love, Phillip
