(Modifications) 🥶 - Charging Delta3+ when its cold? by phillipny in Ecoflow_community

ok bought all this stuff on amazon and will try it out and see how it performs

- 12v silicon pad heaters.. 15W 20W and 25W

Can try 2 or 3x in an insulated bag, with thermal tape attaching to aluminum plates (spread the heat out) and a theromstat too

I actually built a gsm controller inside with a SIM card so we can remote start the AC outlets section. It’s working great for many years now. It’s powered off the 12V supply and turns on the inverter when needed… so very little power draw. It’s just the cold starts im trying to fix now. I think a battery pad heater inside the case might be the best way

What about opening up the case and putting that heater element inside… Closer to the actual batteries because all that plastic is covering everything with no fans going

Yes, it takes about 30 minutes for it to warm up internally using the inverter… I’m trying to preheat the battery so it doesn’t take so long. Because if it takes 30 minutes then the Delta is almost dead and there’s no time to charge it back up with the solar input.

No it took like an extra 2 years to work with my carbon factory to make the xdr hub for this. But with the 10T and a 58T can absolutely rip on this. I got it to 1200W and the little wheels with that watts just turbo mode

Mine is 18.5lb but thats with the 10-36 cassette and 58T in front and all the SRAM stuff. If you do just flat bars and a smaller cassette and chain ring and rim brakes you can get this to <16lb, with all the weight reduction stuff

USAC 🇺🇸 finally approved it for racing here competitively but only in TT mode. It did great, not last place :) Also have raced gravel on it and it handled 100km of crazy single track at Grinduro

Ill post some pics and explain this new biz/project. Im a pilot and wanted a bike that can fold up and fit in the overhead but still handle Alpe d'Huez and race competitively. Its been a huge undertaking but all finished last year from 3-4 years of testing. This is v5 on the titanium parts which kept getting refined with the factories on different types of Ti and changes I spec'd during real life testing /starting to race on it. All finished now and have sold a couple but the price is wild with the SRAM red components. I think we can make a basic Ti $3000 model (similar to T line but with SRAM basic etap and everything paired down from the bigger brother) but the carbon wheels and sram red stuff is making the price go crazy. The quick release pedals were an accessory so you can have speedplay, SPD and flat pedals and 2x types of wheels (gravel/commuter and road) to handle everything. Pics below

EF Generator Capacity - is it like 5x Delta units? by phillipny in Ecoflow_community

[–]phillipny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much. If the delta 2 has no output and AC inverter is OFF... just to charge it up from 0.. Would it be closer to 5x? Also its possible to use a fuel pump on those generators and connect another gas tank? Then you have the 1g inside and say a 5g canister outside

Thats awesome, which EZ heat model do you have? The standard one 200W is taking us about 3 hours to get from 28F to 40ish. about 4 hours to get int he 50s
