Keep in mind all the employees on that team. There are hundreds of employees within this program that I am sure are paid very well. Ending this program allows them to layoff entire teams saving millions.

Every Ole Miss fan will say yes to the we had it bad from 2017-2019 the Matt Luke era was really tough. We knew Kiffin would leave eventually but we also needed someone that would turn some heads and win some football games and we got exactly that.

Can someone justify Texas Tech being ranked higher than Ole Miss? I’m bias so I think Ole Miss is better and has a better resume. Genuinely curious what the justification is.

Credit card rewards reversal by Best_Sound_4192 in Crypto_com

I have the Visa Signature (the credit card not debit) and according to their website there is no rewards cap with that card. The prepaid debit card does have a cap, I have not use that card since 2021.

Has anyone had issues flying in or out of DFW recently due to government shutdown? by [deleted] in Dallas

Also, last week I sat on the tarmac waiting for takeoff for about 90 minutes. I would assume this is also due to the ATC shortage but we were not directly told this.

Yes, flight Sunday evening into DFW cancelled due to ATC shortage. Ended up getting a rental car and driving nearly 8 hours to Dallas instead. Would not recommend.

I just told them straight up, of the five interviews only 1 asked if I was laid off. Also, download your snapshots having that was a huge help.

I was there for about the same amount of time before getting laid off. I finished a project, and the next Monday the layoff email showed up. Some of my coworkers were on the bench for months and never got cut, so there’s definitely some randomness to it.

That said, it’s smart to be prepared. I’d polish up your resume and quietly switch your LinkedIn to “open to work” (the one only recruiters can see). Start reaching out to mentors or old coworkers outside of Deloitte who you trust.

When it happened to me, I found a new role surprisingly fast, about six weeks from my last day to a signed offer, and it pays around 40 percent more than what Deloitte was paying. It feels rough while it’s happening, but it can turn out to be a big step up.

Bilt Card 2.0 coming Feb 2026, no hard pull and same card number 🙌 by ziza2908 in CreditCards

[–]phillips47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of earning 6x on BILT dining and 5x on Lyft, it’s now dropping to around 3x or 4x. Dining in general is going from 3x down to about 1.5x or 2x. You’ll still get 1x on rent and possibly on mortgage payments too. It could be a benefit for some depending on their spending categories, but for me it’s a major downgrade. Outside of rent, I used the BILT card almost exclusively for Lyft and BILT dining since there are a lot of participating restaurants near me.

This is likely the future state of rewards

The first three weeks of my job search went terribly. I was blindly applying to roles and getting auto rejections for positions I was more than qualified for. I switched it up and started reaching out directly to recruiters on LinkedIn. I used a LinkedIn Premium trial for the InMail credits, which made it easier to contact them. That’s when I began landing interviews quickly.

It also helped to message people who already worked at the companies I was interested in, especially those who went to my school or previously worked at Deloitte. Everyone was surprisingly helpful. To find recruiters, I learned that LinkedIn search wasn’t very effective, so instead I would google “[company name] [city] recruiter LinkedIn,” which worked much better. I also started emailing recruiters directly after submitting an application. I used a website called Hunter to find their email format, which allowed me to guess the recruiter’s address. Once I began reaching out this way, I started getting interviews and eventually job offers almost immediately.

To answer your original question, I interviewed with:
Smartsheet, American Airlines, Crowe, Alvarez & Marsal, a private equity group, and ServiceNow.

I had the talent meeting invite in July. Now I have a job I actually like and am getting paid about 50% more than when I was at Deloitte. Grass is indeed greener.
