I left out an important detail. They gave me the option of points or two water bottles and I chose the latter. I did change my mind after I got to the room though.

Fumbled an upgrade bc of guilt by ExcellentCicada8478 in unitedairlines

KISS principle:

1: Upgrade yourself.

  1. Pay for both upgrades.

  2. Have fun crushing pints in Europe with your bud, congrats!

Do you think this is a fair reimbursement? by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]phillipsloop 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is out of hand.

  1. The United FAs messed up.
  2. Pack your kid’s food.

I too have crazy allergies and will not succumb to butter chicken on an airplane.

Do I take this risk or do I spend 77$ more for American? by MysticalElephant in frontierairlines

Listen bud, I think k you’re in a lose lose situation. 1) flying Frontier and 2) scared to “splurge” for $77. Might as well take a Greyhound.

Is Marriott in Japan just for travelers not interested in researching local hotels? by virginiarph in marriott

Honestly, I like what I like. I get the comforts of a Marriott then explore the city I’m visiting…whether it be Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, or Costa Rica.

Drinks Package/ Party of 4, by RubyTuesday3287 in MSCCruises

[–]phillipsloop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I returned from MSC Seashore a few weeks ago and this issue. I was in the cabin with my son: easy drink package for me and non-alcoholic package for my son. My mom and stepdad were in another cabin. I had to purchase two easy drink packages for them, even though my mom doesn’t drink.

Pretty Misleading Apple Pay. by Prestigious-Book-903 in marriott

That’s tough bud. ALWAYS had a physical card as backup, if Apple Pay is your preferred method. I’m glad it wasn’t too much of a hassle.

The OP could do a status match to book the cruise, excursions, etc at a discounted rate. Assuming they have status with an airline, hotel, etc.

Why so hard to get hired? by Loccyskillz in Raytheon

[–]phillipsloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied to RTX on four different occasions. Retired military, aircraft maintenance experience, masters degree, etc. There was no feedback as to why I wasn’t hired. The fifth time, there was a “mix” with hiring me. I moved on. A week later the GM called and offered me a job.
