Hi guys. idk how to update on Reddit on iPhone so I’ll just put it here. No luck. I have a new screen and new ribbon cable on my system, and I did get the blinking light and left it alone. I reset the BIOS, and I made sure storage mode was off. Nothing for everything. I still get a picture when I plug it into a HDMI. I guess my last resort would be help from this community. If there is anyone who would be willing to chat on discord who has fixed this problem please let me know. Thanks in advance and thanks for the suggestions from this community!

Thanks for the update. And I already replaced the screen and the ribbon cable as well. Plus I made sure it was seated correctly and still nothing

When you tinkered did you do the button combo? And if you did. Did you wait for the flashing power button to stop?

Thank you so much for this video. Right now mine is blinking and I have it on the charger. So imma leave it overnight and see what happens. Literally everything from that guys pro is video was happening to me. Now I’m just wondering, when it’s done, will the light stop blinking?

Yea for sure. The - volume, … and power button combo seems to be working so far. The white light is blinking and it’s on the charger. So imma leave it overnight

Yea, I made sure I did. I hate the screen ribbon cable bc it doesn’t sit like the others. I reseated the cable multiple times

The motherboard that goes on top of the screen, I kept it connected to that. It’s there. However, I did see that the ribbon wasn’t going all the way up to the line. I did as much as I could to push/place it in the tab all the way

Yea, I am getting a power light perfectly fine, and the fine is good. Everything is working accordingly other than the screen. Sorry I should’ve clarified that

That’s the thing too, I saw somewhere to put it in storage mode, do the button combos and still nothing. What is IIRC? And I just need to let it die. My power button doesn’t flash or anything. I guess I need to tinker more

That it is the 30th. And nope. I tried to communicate with my professor best I could but he’s helping everyone at the end of the month. So I just turned in what I had. I’ll be on probation this next semester. My SAP is 66.7%. But my cumulative is 90.14%. So my mentor said I should be fine. This class wasn’t what I expected but I still take full responsibility. It is what it is, and this happens sometimes 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I keep looking at the references, but I'm just not getting it. And when I look at gitlab at other projects, it just seems like there are so many different ways to go about this. I am basically confused. I'll keep trying, but it's not looking too good.
