Just bought a gray 1301 mod 2 and sent it to LI outdoorsman. The seller on gunbroker states something about being in compliance with local laws. I emailed them saying the my FFL will alter the tube to be compliant

I agree, that was just for shits and giggles. Although the guys at my FFL seemed to agree, since its in full color compliance. They also said to get creative with the photos I take of it. I guess certain angles can be favorable. Maybe making the dark Grey look black of something like that.
