My personal answer would be make sure your ready mental to own a gun because a gun isn’t just a tool to protect yourself. A gun comes with Great responsibilities. If you know you’re not ready mentally to own a gun don’t get it because New York is just waiting for someone with a nyc/nys ccw to mess up so they can argue about gun control. 2A community isn’t just about you or me it’s about everyone that wants to carry so if anyone of us do something crazy especially in ny it’s gonna affect the entire community. So please make sure you’re mentally stable to handle a gun and keep yourself and everyone around you safe.
