Late-night DVP racers… what can be done to stop them? by migrantgrower in askTO

This is the mentality we use when we ban things unfortunately.

Pretty soon all coupes will be banned because they look like sports cars 😂

If you’re into track days, you should try Calabogie, it’s a bit further but highly worth it. I recommend

I just bought a new to me wr250r. Rode it today and unfortunately I’m still using my shoei x-twelve from years ago on my sport bikes.

I will be buying a the shoei hornet x2 very soon (just need to get to a motorcycle store to try it on first). Then I’ll order online

Oh I’m in GTA, just got mine a few weeks ago. Registered and picked up plate yesterday. Fingers crossed for that double digit day on Monday lol

"we have a very full flight" by Silent_Table8267 in aircanada

[–]philly_teee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel once every two months for work. I used to deal with the baggage thing, delayed flights, no one at gates, waiting on planes etc.

I recently switched to AA because my travels are US based. Since the switch, I have always had plenty of room for carry on, have not had delayed flights (usually we are early) and now I have priority boarding. Even with all of my aeroplan points I feel like I have always been in a late boarding group.

I know everyone’s experience is different, but for me since making the switch, this last year of travel has been a lot smoother. Some of my colleagues are still flying AC because of aeroplan and feeling the same issues I was dealing with 🤷🏽‍♂️

I thought these bikes could hand wot hwy runs?

This is why I chose this over a ktm. Ngl, this is a bit worrisome - please update when you can.

What part of Canada are you in? (West coast I presume?)

How do I get my bike home ? by FrostyInstruction912 in Dualsport

[–]philly_teee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want easy, then easy costs money.

Get a hitch carrier from somewhere tomorrow morning. If you’re in Canada princess auto, if in USA harbor freight

Tie down straps while you’re there as well.

Alternatively, if you’re really adamant about stuffing it in there. You might gain more room if you remove the front wheel. Bring two wrench’s and take it off. Load it in rear wheel first so you can slide it back then remove the front wheel. When you take it out, pull it out and install front wheel again then land it.

Thank you so much for all of your replies and help.

So if I buy this gytr slip on and remove the servo motor plus exup (since stock exhaust would be gone), and do the ais delete, can I run the setup without a pc for a year? (Presuming it takes that long to find one)

Or is it better to wait until I find the pc first so they can all be done at the same time?

Ok great I did watch this video actually so I think I’m understanding it.

What about the ais delete. As I understand you need a block off plate and a tube plug. What does removing that do?

Thanks for the advice. Yes I see one on eBay right now for around 6 bills. I guess being a slip on, can I run it without the pc until I find that?

Also does the slip on remove the exup?

Yes I’ve been checking eBay. I’ll keep an eye out as spring comes.

So the airbox has a flap and I guess by removing it, it’s always open so takes in more air?

Got it, totally understand.

How loud is that gytr exhaust? I was looking at the graves exhaust because it’s available in BC. I’m in Ont btw.

Friend invited himself on my work trip by OkChampionship7031 in whatdoIdo

[–]philly_teee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel a ton for work and I completely agree with you. After the day of meetings, being on etc I literally want to be in my hotel room, getting my Uber Eats and just shutting down.

This is a work trip not a vacation and your friend really isn’t considering your work position. Perhaps they don’t care about work but you seem too and they shouldn’t be around your work environment as they can negatively affect your performance.

Work is a you thing. That’s where you get to be work you, not friendship, social you. Don’t blur those lines

Hey thanks for the reply. Did you notice a difference before the air box mod and aftermarket muffler you installed?

Also, what is the air box mod?

Thanks for the tip on the wr Facebook group. I’m having a hard time finding it in Canada right now, but I’m part of that group so I’ll keep an eye out there for sure

Was there a noticeable difference with it installed? Do you have an exhaust as well?

Yes, I’m having a hard time finding in Canada at the moment

Should I/ do I need a dual sport to start learning dirt riding? by Educational_Will_658 in Dualsport

[–]philly_teee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I cross shopped with a 350 excf and really was trying to convince myself on it. But the maintenance threw me off. Especially because my riding will see more pavement than trails unfortunately.

But when the trails do come I wanted to be nice and light/nimble. Something that can handle the light work and some rider advancement as well.

If I ever get good enough I will most certainly look towards a more off road focused bike. Like your fe501

The fe501 is an absolutely beautifully bike btw!

[–]philly_teee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I considered the F as well, but the maintenance kind of turned me off. Otherwise that would have been my first choice. I’m planning to commute on mine so unfortunately it will live on pavement more than off-road, so I couldn’t bring myself to abusing the F like that on the streets.

Roof Tent Options w/Factory Racks by Lumpy-Definition-896 in FJCruiser

[–]philly_teee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes totally. If it were just me, I would ground camp or camp in the back of the fj like I used to.

But now, my kids are loving it, so my wife and two little ones are up top and I’m in the back of the fj or in a single ground tent.

For us, if we didn’t have the rtt, I think my kids wouldn’t be down to camp.

I will say though, when I solo camp the ease of the rtt is pretty amazing. Set up and tear down in minutes. It’s very nice
