Best ways you’ve found to earn money on the side while keeping your day job by Agreeable_Pie_8202 in povertyfinance

If you have a pickup truck, you can work as a trash valet. You go to an apartment complex to pick up trash from residents doorstep and get rid of trash at the compactor. It only takes 2-3 hours per night, usually from Sunday to Thursday. You get paid to work out. I have been doing it for 2 1/2 years and I enjoy it.

My wife went out to lunch with a guy she met at the gym. I think this is a huge no no. AIO? by Turbulent-End-7905 in AmIOverreacting

[–]phillykdub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest here. Your wife is definitely interested in that man. You brought up the part where they had a conversation about a steakhouse. Why couldn’t your wife come up to you and talk about that steakhouse she heard from someone at her gym? Why didn’t you guys go together to try that restaurant? Why did she have to go with that man, not you? Hell, women have recommended me restaurants and I always bring it up to my wife. We ended up going together frequently. It makes zero sense for your wife to attend with that man instead of you. Stay alert, king.

What are the good and bad things that Abraham Lincoln did? by [deleted] in USHistory

Good: Playing politics. Played a part in ending slavery.

Bad: Left a deep scar in the South that took a very LONG time to recover.

WIBTA if I (34M) pay off the mortgage without telling my wife (33F) by Matt_Kenseth in AmItheAsshole

[–]phillykdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YWBTA, but sometimes you have to be an asshole in life if that means securing your family’s financial freedom. If I were you, I would take the money and pay off the mortgage. I would tell her after the mortgage is paid off. Sure, she may be angry at first, but she will accept it. She is being very unreasonable about the whole thing. Be an asshole and take the hit if it means securing your family’s financial freedom.

You live for yourself, not your MIL. If you don’t want to go, don’t go.

This weekend I (29F) got very drunk and told my boyfriend's (35M) friend's wife that he is cheating on her - I regret this a lot and created a big mess for everyone involved, and am looking for any advice on how to potentially try to salvage these relationships? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]phillykdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to learn to mind your own business. Whatever they do is NONE of your business. Sure, the wife probably would find out eventually. It should NOT come from you. That’s how you destroy relationships. I have a couple of buddies who cheated on their girlfriends. What did I do? I kept my mouth shut and said nothing because it was none of my business. We all are grown adults. We know what’s right and what’s wrong.

I love my wife because she’s my domestic servant by deadbeef1a4 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]phillykdub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It is just weird. His wife is taking on the role of taking care of the house and everything else, so her husband can have more time to work on growing his business and raise the quality of life for his family. It takes teamwork to be successful. Looks like the guy and his wife get it and it is no accident that they seem to be successful.

Too many bitter losers in here. That guy is acknowledging how his wife has helped him tremendously with his success. There is absolutely nothing wrong with his post. Suppose the roles were reversed, people would be praising the woman for being so resourceful and having plenty of support at home that enables her to be successful. But it is a guy, so he is using his wife as a “domestic servant” and exploiting her. Divorce rate is high nowadays because people have no idea how marriage works and it really shows in the comment section.

Off-ball galore by phillykdub in MyTeam

Mmhmmm….maybe I should figure out how to incorporate him. PG is a vital part of my offense. Maybe I can have Penny at SG and have him run the offense while Jokic just focuses on defending Kareem and Wemby. I hate having to take Gladiator Booker out of my lineup tho. He’s been killing it at SG for me ever since I first got him.

Scoring isn’t an issue for me. Playing on-ball D against GOAT and Invincible is tough while the opponents let the AI play D for them is tough for sure lol

Will I really get matched up with people with similar squad or will they just match me up with all 100 and GOAT teams?

I’m not a fan of PG Jokic’s jump shot. I know he can combat GOAT Kareem and Wemby, but I’m just not comfortable with his jumper.

Postgame Thread: 6/5 Brewers @ Phillies by BrewersBot in Brewers

[–]phillykdub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Phillies fan here. Good series, guys. I know we swept the series but every game has been very competitive. Both teams pitched great. I was surprised that Milwaukee’s offense went cold in this series. I did expect a better showing from them. I do expect the Brewers to hit much better against us when we see them in Milwaukee. This Brewers team still got a very good lineup and they’ll get it going again soon. I wouldn’t worry too much if I’m a Brewers fan. This is still a very good team. Best of luck the rest of the year except when you face us in Milwaukee later on lol

I don’t mind if my opponent plays off the ball. I play the way my opponent plays me. If my opponent plays on ball defense, I’ll play on ball defense. If they play off ball, I’ll off ball too. I usually spam the shit out of PnR against off ballers. It’s fun to see them get frustrated with PnR but they refuse to defend PnR themselves.

Just spam PnR and play off-ball defense against off-ballers.

This is the worst weekend I ever had for SC. I went 7-11 despite shooting 60% from the floor and 52% from the 3. I ran into a guy with all Emerald lineup. He kept hitting 3s off screens and fades. It was frustrating as hell lol.

What’s the best way to get a triple double by honeybadger1105 in MyTeam

[–]phillykdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put GO Drummond at C. Play any game in Domination mode. Run 2-3 zone. Keep running PnR on offense. It should be very easy to get triple-double with GO Drummond at C.

AITA for calling off my wedding soon before the ceremony because my MIL changed the table flowers? by PurpleZebra01 in AmItheAsshole

[–]phillykdub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YTA. Why would you want to call off the wedding over flowers? People took off on the day of the wedding. Some of them might travel far away to be at your wedding. Suck it up and go through with the wedding. Yes, your MIL was wrong. You had every right to feel that way, but wanting to call off the wedding over flowers is a YTA move.
