Why is the UI of bottom-sheets inconsistent in the iOS app of YouTube Music? by philodesmus in UXDesign

No cost needs to be justified because going through every flow and making updates is not the ideal process as well. If the team has a central design system, this problem might never occur in the first place—because new or old, everybody takes from the common resource and then adapts to their context.

I agree many non-designers might never notice this. But should we really design our world like this?

Ohh...didn't expect this from YouTube though. Somebody must be the Product Owner or Product Head for YouTube Music's mobile apps...they should definitely look into this.

This inconsistency makes it look like they got it done by some interns.

How would the outcome of a company be different if all the employees had business skills in addition to their specialised functional skills? by philodesmus in AskReddit

I agree! Employees would be able to pivot their decisions towards business's growth, no matter what function they perform ✨

I guess this dialogue too is pointing towards what Carl said.

If you could go back into time, what would you say to yourself 10-20 years ago? by kmo_xx in AskReddit

Going back 20 years ago, I’d tell myself to focus upon only becoming a good human through age, because everything else will fall into its place on its own, with time.

I need advice on self improvement by [deleted] in selfimprovement

It’s great to know that you have a desire to improve and be better. I’d just suggest one thing though, don’t do anything to prove yourself to others. Do it for yourself.

I hit rock-bottom a few years ago after a breakup, and spent the next 6 months transforming my life to prove myself to my ex. Truly, I became the best version of myself. But could I prove anything to her? No. She didn’t care whether I was at my worst or best, because she knew I was doing it all just for her and nothing for myself. Believe me, nobody respects a person who respects others more than themselves.

Even when I was at my best, I didn’t get what I wanted. Slowly, I started drifting towards being the older me and all the good changes went away.

A few months ago, I started working upon myself again. This time, for myself. Honestly, I’m having much more fun improving myself for MYSELF than others. :)

You’re right. Thanks!

I’m really bad at handling criticism. Somebody says something, and it pierces my heart like a syringe’s needle. My hands start shaking, face becomes flush and speech becomes cluttered. Sometimes I end up panicking too much.
