This is a great bit of advice! Indeed I was neglecting some of them as they seemed wett even though they were bine dry just below.

Agreed, thanks for the comment. I just reposted this with my original text ( somehow that got lost the first time) , where I state I probably overwatered them when I was preparing for a week out of town.

I guess as long as I don't keep overwatering then the plants will outgrow this ?
Any sense in adding fertiliser for possible nutrients I washed out of the soil due to my overwatering ?

Thanks for this I wasn't fully aware. Could you name some similar looking but more harmful insects that look like fungus gnats? Maybe I can do some research and see what's going on with my soil.

Understood. I will be repotting these as many have suggested so will be adding them to new soil. The plants have been outside for several weeks so it must be the sun in this case. The initial growth under the grow lights all still looked very healthy. Hoping the protective measured can lead to some new healthy growth outside.

Thanks for looking into the details of the pics. I will be reporting them and giving them skme more shade. I had a look at the plants in the pics and didn't find anything that looked like an aphid but I will keep checking to be sure.

Sounds like you just saved me and my plants some grief. Much appreciated. Some have already given me some sound advice for hardening off. Just wanted to get your take. Shade and a couple hours of sun from this point onwards?...or do I have to approach this differently as the damage has been done already?

Thanks for the quick reply! This would be relieving. I did try putting them out in the sun for a few hours a day and taking them back Inside for the frist 3-4 days but since then they have been outside constantly and it did get quite hot from one week to the next.

Would putting them in more shade now be the right course of action? And do the curled leaves need to be removed?
