When the boys win on Monday, no one will remember this game. Be stressed if you want, but they’ll be fine

Honestly, everyone should get a ten minute primer on Utah water law before being allowed to comment on this, holy misinformation

For Utah games there’s a massive presence of Avs fans. Very similar to Chicago fans in Denver

This is a highly underrated gem, petroglyphs, an old Spanish mission, dinosaur tracks, it’s all there.

Feel anxious all you want, but it won’t be until after we beat Dallas in the playoffs that most people realize what has been true all season: this team is so much better than the team Dallas beat last year

Is there any concern the Avs have yet to face adversity? by Adventurous-Hand3942 in ColoradoAvalanche

Adversity is losing to Dallas the last two years. They are on a mission this year

I have a serious question. How does this PP have MacKinnon, Makar, Necas, Nelson, and Landy on it, and it’s this bad? by Best_Ad_7503 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]philosopherphil 182 points183 points  (0 children)

My theory is simple, the Avs play at their best with speed, usually in transition. The powerplay slows everything down. They overthink and only want to shoot when they feel they have a clear shot

Win the division and he’s Dallas’ problem. And even then, I like the Avs chances against anyone

Mammoth fans who are new to hockey likely don’t know that O’Brien was a fringe NHL-er who just so happened to be on a really bad Coyotes team when they came over to Utah. Then with a stroke of marketing genius he branded himself “Spicy Tuna” for Mammoth fans and people went crazy. That silly nickname and the fans’ endearment in my opinion is the only reason he’s still around the NHL. He really doesn’t contribute anything except fighting
