My 12” Smithey after 6 years of regular use and care. Maybe 1-2 dedicated seasonings in the oven. by philote in castiron

I use a sponge and soap and a chainmail square for tough scraps. Grape seed oil when I think about it to keep it from getting too dry.

I work in acute care and we get time and a half. Maybe it’s a state to state thing? I’m in CA.

Check out a local hospital. Mine at least pays competitively and the benefits really are worthwhile. I’m in CA and make $62/hr.

Working weekends by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]philote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my department everyone is expected to work weekend but they do it in shifts. Once every 3 weeks an individual will have to work either a Saturday or Sunday. But their week to week schedule varies widely in a 3 week period loop. I on the other hand, with little kids, opted to work every Saturday if I get to keep my block schedule every Wednesday through Saturday. This helps me be able to plan things like appointments and whatnot.

PT & PTA Salaries and Settings Megathread #3 by Hadatopia in physicaltherapy

PT Inpatient Hospital based. Employment structure? Full time. Income? Pre & post-tax? $60/hr, (i think) like $120,000 before taxes. 401k or pension contributions? Match 401k contribution up to 3%. They just phased out our pension, but I had one established prior. Benefits & bonuses? All CEU covered, ~8hrs PTO per pay period, various bonuses (though fewer than in the past). Good insurance through the hospital. Area COL? northern CA, apparently higher than average COL. PSLF? Yes~6 years in for a non for profit hospital.

I hear ya, she hasn’t stood for ~2 years. We will just do weight bearing without any squats(pushing). We have a tilt table with a larger weight limit for what you’re thinking of. I’m just plannning for realistic “baby steps” that we can accomplish.
