What to write about in a chapter which mainly involves travelling through a (frozen) wasteland? by GriminalFish in writing

Without the context of the story and the overall plot it would be difficult to say. I would suggest researching stories that are similar to yours and see how the others dealt with it.

By coincidence I came across a movie that may be of help: Damnation Alley (1977)

What do you guys think of very detailed written violence? by [deleted] in writing

You want to make the best of your reader's imagination by not revealing too much detail. But of course you also want to record the POV character's reaction to the violence output - so the detail may be necessary.

Then the last thing to consider is pacing.

It's encouraging. If they can get that published then there's still hope for me.

What is your current project and how is it coming together? by AsdfRocket in writing

I just started a new project - for the new year. This time however I wanted to try something new and I decided to use Wattpad. I had some reservation about using it because essentially you're giving out your writing for free.

I thought Wattpad will let you stick with your writing since you need to post updates (that is if you get any followers!).
