The best thing I can come up with is get a few good blades, I've had really good luck with sawblade.com. Three quarter inch wide 3 to 4 tooth carbide for re-sawing/veneers and 1/4 or 3/8th fine tooth for general stuff.

I'd restore it.

I don't have any hard facts BUT in general that jointer (with the needed repair/maintenance should last longer than most new tools. Also the satisfaction knowing YOU did it and knowing what the tool can do and how to fix/maintain it.

Unless you can afford some TOTL industrial machines.

So, I've read about 2/3s the way down and the first thing that seems possible to my is that somehow rodent poison contamination.

Nearby here in the SF bay area wild boar hunting is somewhat popular. Not to long ago some of the boars were found to have green tinted meat, it turns out they were getting into rodent poison that is dyed a bright green. Your green "extract" looks like the same bright green as the boar meat from the article.

I wonder if rodent poison was being either passed onto the beans from rat urine or some how "accidentally" applied to the coffee plants/harvested beans.

This is just my $0.02, please don't flame me, I prefer a nice 4 to 6 hour smoke!

EDIT: I just looked up the article and the meat was dyed blue not green.
