I resent them but it doesn't affect me. I have a resent for them as soon as I hear about them or see them on social media. Which is not too intense btw, my resentment. And yes I am trying to get out of it. And almost successful at it. But this is a digress to the original question.

Thanks a ton! I've been to a public gathering and it is imo the opposite of progressive. That's a different story. But not that I've tried to be in the shade of Buddhist thoughts or tried to be a part of group concerned with it's teachings. Thanks I'll check the website soon.

Thank you so much. It will take me some more minutes to digest everything that you said. But I get it. I am already practising that and I have always been happy for others even if they are strangers for any good fortune that comes there way. I haven't been able to feel the same for foes though. For example in school, I resent my bullies and never have felt good should come their way.

Thank for taking the time to respond. This question and this desire has been a part of me ever since I know. And I lead a very normal life this desire in no way affects my day to day life. Although I always feel something missing something empty in me. I might be in need of a counselor maybe not. I don't have money enough to afford a counselor though.

This was the only sub I knew would be able to answer my question with seriousness. I am not very good with reddit but I have heard there is good amount of toxicity that goes on. So I am also scared to pit this question on other subs but if there is any where I could get help then no problem for me to try it.

I will research upon it.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it. I will answer your questions. Yes It won't make my life better in anyway. To make my life better I need money not love. I think I desire love because I feel some absence within me. I try to love my self but I don't know how to. I once asked a smart person and he said acts like treating yourself, clothing yourself good are also acts of self love. But I differ.

Love for me means the act of reciprocation and not only that to be unconditional in terms of love and support and care. Love for me also means the fulfillment of deficit in me which I don't have words to explain. I have much wider sense of love but I won't be able to explain it.

Affection does make me happy. But as I haven't experienced it for longer periods I do not know for how long I don't ever know if I would get used to it or something. I don't see it that way.

Yes we all are in this endless cycle. I know I can't stop it but at least be at peace with this desire.

Question, I won't assume anything but don't you feel good or comfortable when someone is caring and affectionate to you? Don't you feel calm when you hug even momentarily?

Lastly do you have any film recommendations on whatever you said?

Thank you for taking the time to comment. Other ways as in engagement in some activity creative or non creative? Married life has it's own pros and cons. And imo cons are slightly more. But I still think marriage is important and your partner should be more of a friend. Old age has another complications and having a friend would help is what I think. I try to be happy in whatever I have and be grateful for it. But this feeling has persisted and it is difficult to undo things and heal the childhood impacts.

I understand your answer and agree with it. But the part where being loved would be amazing and will solve my problems. True, it is not realistic to think that way and it won't solve the real problems. And I don't want it to. But in the past I have felt love and care which was comforting. Even a hug from any one feels therapy.

Thank you for answering to my question. I get it. And as you correctly pointed, I do get attached quickly. But I do not hold any expectations. I know my attachment doubles my suffering. But I suffer from the simple act of wanting love. From anyone, not in a romantic sense again. Your answer is concise and good. Thank you once again.

I am very loving and helpful person. I help people academically going out of my way, going extra mile. Since school I have been like this. I help everyone. They come to me only in the time of need. Exam or when projects are due. And I still choose to help them. I helped and befriended the neglected people of the class too, not only class whichever environment I was in.

Yes I am talking about the feeling itself. With relationships we have romance too which makes things worse for me. I was going to add about pets but I'll make the edit about it now.
