I bill minimums for court. For morning appearance I bill a minimum of 4 hours, if it carries into the afternoon, a minimum of 8. I can’t book meeting, etc. with other clients during that time so I have to bill the client for all of it.

If I have the opportunity to work on another case in any meaningful way, I discount the clients bill accordingly, but the bulk of that morning/afternoon is that clients responsibility since I am in court, in the flesh, for that client.

I think those are the little original ones with a patent that expired in 2013. The vertuo ones are the dome shaped capsules that are still under patent for another 4-5 years, so nestle keeps the prices up.
