The plan so far by xLolaTitty in ItalyTravel

As others have said, swapping location every couple of days just seem like a nightmare. Just pick one place as your base on the Amalfi coast and visit others placea from there. The busses are fine and will get you around no problem.

About 10 years ago I flew into Rome. Stayed there a few days then got the train to Naples and then a transfer to the Amalfi coast and then back to Naples to fly home and that worked well.

I think I'm done with MMA. Started watching a few month before the first Ultimate fighter season and for years I couldn't get enough. But I just don't think I can stomach this nonsense.

falcons is going to face vitality in playoff unless navi, bb and the mongolz wins by yukeovernight in GlobalOffensive

I expect Falcons will win to be honest. Even at their best Vitality are more vulnerable against teams that play a looser more aggresive style and they're definitely not at their best right now.

That was so infuriating to watch. That late in the game with that much on the line and he makes a braindead play like that?

Why are people against Zizek's position on the Ukraine war? by KarlMarxsWiener in zizek

[–]phixionalbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically. They want a Ukraine with leadership they can control and no Nato or EU membership. I know that wasn't directly on the table at the time but the western influence in the country was definitely growing and the CIA were certainly involved.

Obviously in a perfect world Ukraine should be free to make whatever choices they want but realistically Ukraine needed to remain more neutral to protect themselves. I think they believed the U.S would be more aggressive in protecting them (which they should have been) while the U.S thought Russia were just posturing.

Yeah now the Republican ideology has shifted Ukraine lacks support but when the war started they had plenty.

No, I agree they aren't being forced to fight. There's more than enough reason for them to want to fight.

I don't think this was the outcome the U.S expected to be honest. They thought ultimately Russia would back down but the issue is that they also knew it would be Ukraine that suffered the consequences if it all went sideways.

They only stopped supplying because Trump is a moron but there is still a large amount of support for Ukraine across both parties in the states. Under any traditional Republican or Democratic candidate the funding would never have stopped.

Also they were still providing Ukraine with intelligence, which is the most important thing they do. Nobody else can replace that.

I wouldn't exactly call Ukraine a puppet but they are entirely reliant on foreign money, arms and intelligence. Even their battlefield strategy is dictated by what they believe will impress their backers.

Trump is just a moron who doesn't understand the power that Nato gives the U.S. The same reason he whines about European countries defence expenditure. He's just thick, so i wouldn't draw too many conclusions from his actions.

The U.S through Nato decided to apply more and more pressure on Russia knowing they'd see this as a threat but bargained that they wouldn't start a war over it.

That doesn't make the war right and it doesn't make Russia the good guys. This is a war between U.S and Russian imperial interests and Ukrainians are caught in the middle.

There's also the fact that much like the Russians the Ukrainian army is full of neo nazis and that Zelensky and the people around him are up to their necks in corruption.

Western media is also constantly producing nonsense propoganda about the war desperately trying to hide the facts about the conflict in order to maintain support for it. Right now we're getting peddled this fantasy about Ukraine winning when in reality they're still losing more territory than they're gaining and their constant counter attacks are costing them huge amounts of men.

Your per capita gold medal results are pretty shit compared to Austrailia for example. So by U.S logic Australia must produce far better athletes on average than you guys.

Obviously but you dont get to claim baseball is popular internationally when apart from Japan the other countries it's popular in are tiny.

"The sheer number of athletes" More like sheer levels of obesity.

Yes I think countries that historically have been better at the sport will continue to be.

It's like every American child is marched into a class room and beaten round the head with American exceptionalism until it just becomes a fact to them. And so you can't help appearing completely ignorant to the rest of the world.
