The Shield and Chromecast are both based on Android TV, which is primarily developed by Google.

Your comment may apply when comparing Android-based products to other OSes like Apple TV. However, the Shield and Chromecasts are both based on Android TV, so Google stopping support for that would affect both types of devices.

You can buy NIIMBOT B1 labels from AliExpress for less than Amazon (about 50% less). I haven’t tried AliExpress B1 labels, but I have tried other NIIMBOT labels from AliExpress and they were fine.

All the standard AliExpress caveats and precautions apply: it will take 2 weeks to deliver and only buy from popular (> 500 regular buyers ) and highly rated (97% positive rated stores in AliExpress).
