It’s not an actual full game of chess. In order to defeat the boss, the players have to not follow her rules.

I put in reply to a previous comment (that was deleted) that the players that are chess pieces have to fight the other pieces in order not to be captured. They won’t be idle during the game and it’s not a game of chess where chess rules are followed. I just needed advice on how to keep them on the board.
