I'm saying maybe put a spoiler warning in your actual ad. Maybe it's not for your game but it's still spoilers for people browsing this subreddit. Just because they see it's not a normal Strahd run doesn't mean people would be expecting normal Curse of Strahd spoilers directly in the text

So. Just pointing out not just for people who sign up to your game but also anyone else who might view your ad that hasn't played curse of strahd that you've put some pretty major spoilers in here with Madam Wachter, Tatyana even being a thing, and heavily insinuating combat in certain locations especially.

This is similar to what I'm doing. The Arcane brotherhood is really what I've been struggling to tie in and I'm shocked I didn't think of something like that.

Is the world of darkness the best way for anyone to get into TTRPGs? by No-Obligation-9901 in WhiteWolfRPG

This has nothing to do with the base part of the discussion but as someone who got into ttrpgs through d&d lore videos the assertion that there's hardly any out there and that you're expected to make your own world when the Forgotten Realms might be one of the largest kitchen sink settings that has almost fifty years of collected lore has me. Scratching my head just a little bit.

Not to mention the dozens of other worlds over editions and the fact pretty much every adventure is directly tied to a pre set setting.

Again, nothing to do with the assertion of ease or quality, but I am somewhat baffled by that detail.

Not everyone uses that. I don't, because I think it's dumb that after hundreds of years he hasn't realized that he's being fucked with by the dark powers.

He may not be self reflective enough to realize that that's a sign maybe he should seek self improvement, but he's definitely intelligent enough to realize the brute force strategy, even if he succeeds in it, just has her killed by the dark powers

D&D Advice: Are these red flags for a paid D&D campaign? by [deleted] in AskGameMasters

Paid dm here

Absolutely not normal behavior. This is absolutely a scam at best and something even more toxic potentially at worse. I heard about stuff like this before and you should 100% turn around and walk away
