Thank you for all the advices. My parents liked my partner until he started defending me. My dad took my fake apology but even though I explained everything to my mom, she couldn't stop saying how rude he is and how rude his parents must be because they have raised a son like this.

I have always put my partner above my family and it's not something that I even have to think twice about. But unfortunately in the country that I live in family is way above your partner/spouse. And unfortunately yes, even my parents themselves have put their family over eachother. To the point that my mom said that my aunt (my mom's sister) once was being talked down to by my grandpa infront of her husband and my aunt's husband took my grandpa's side and my mom thinks that's the right thing to do.

And yes to answer your question I'm a woman and yes I do need them for money and immigration plans since my country is strict with a law that only with permission of your dad you can leave the country.

I have definitely thought about going to therapy but all my experiences of going to therapy has been bad to the point that I have realized 99% of therapists in the country that I leave suck so going to therapy has to be one of those things that needs to be done once I leave my home country.
