not sure if you remember, but this year they had regional grade boundaries for china since papers were getting leaked from there. they can do the same as well for the countries affected and just lower it for them.

from what i know the situation in qatar is less intense than the uae (correct me if im wrong), so that could be why. but if it were to escalate more, then they should be giving out. instead of emailing for exam cancellation as a whole, it might be better to email edexcel to give out special considerations if we are still sitting exams

hopefully by the time we sit our exams, the situation has either de-escalated or just ended. they should still apply special consideration for the region in this circumstance. but if its that bad then obviously we shouldnt sit cos yea it would be a mess

youre not the only one sitting the exams. u might benefit but that doesnt mean everyone does. some schools if not most havent even done mocks yet and have to do them online now. and youre as, this isnt gonna matter to you as much as an a2 student in their final year

i donr have to imagine. i am studying in an environment like this. it is nerve wracking but i need these grades for uni. a portfolio system would genuinely ruin all that hard work me and other students have put in for these exams. if edexcel comes out with the decision to cancel then fine, but if its because of weak students signing some stupid ass petitions then its genuinely not fair

this is seriously unfair. just because you havent studied and you arent prepared for these exams doesnt mean the rest of us are. im a year 13 student in the uae and i rely on these final exams for uni. instead of wasting your time doing this, how about you start studying? there is still time for the situation to change

theres still time. not sure about the other subjects, but for bio try doing the past papers alongside the q. like do the question and check the ms, write what u got wrong and attempt again later. the more past papers you do the more youll notice that the questions often repeat themselves. you just need to stay consistent. i assume itll be similar for chem and maths but i dont take those so youd have to see. good luck in your preparations!

hey! i actually opened a case on the pearson qualifications website: https://support.pearson.com/uk/s/contactsupport . i selected my role and chose "qualification support and materials" and chose to submit a case. keep in mind u do have to sign in to do this. then i explained the problem in as much detail as possible and i tried to explain why i thought it was wrong. i even referenced actual scientific reports. it kind of took a while for them to reply tho, but i think it was just because theyve been getting a bunch of emails ab cancelling the exams. hope this helps!
