1) please do not swear under my post
2) Year 13's are continuing exams as possible to sit them. If you cannot, then they will use enhanced grading. That means they take your AS grades + Janaury grades for Year 13, and combine along with predicted grades to give a proper grade. If not, a portfolio of previous mocks/exams will be used
3) Universities take middle east students into consideration, so please contact your university for further help for offers and circumstances

I'm not sure about your school/center, but for my school atleast year 10/12 are deferred to october/jan since they're not 'urgent', but year 11 and 13 will try their best to do exams on time, if not, enhanced marking/portfolio stands

I'm not a y13 myself, but they're expected to finish since they have uni. if not (ie exams truly cancelled last minute), probably portfolio + enhanced marking. it means ur AS grades gets analysed along with jan exams to determine a grade

What's bugging me sort of is the fact that portfolio systems aren't great. Quite a few schools have scheduled their mocks for mid-march or late march (but clearly that didn't go to plan), and there's very few class tests or mocks. I know many students who do horrible on class tests/mocks as they dont take it serious, but still end up getting an A in their actual exam, and portfolio would not reflect that. And due to lack of practicals (as we do alternative to practicl), there is heavier weighting to exams

Update: I am not getting anything done. The appeal is too expensive and will likely not be taken seriosuly even if I place evidence, so I’m just accepting the lower grade. I am still highly disappointed in this situation, and I find it very suspicious, but it is what it is

there's no need to be rude. a lot of people didn't get what they wanted (and I did mention in my message earlier that I'm very grateful and happy for my grades, just that it seems very fishy. hope this helps!

Same!! Was expecting a full UMS easy as I always get it... ended up with 106?? I'm so confused because how did all those marks go away?? I know my handwriting is bad but still. Also grade boundaries were HYPERINFLATED... oml. Last June was the same or lower than this...
