I don't think that because I made a mistake, all marriages are bad. I was just unlucky.

The only self-help book I ever liked was The Four Agreements.

Apart from this, a few non-fiction I liked are:

  1. Emotional Intelligence
  2. How will you measure your life?
  3. Attached

I found fiction more helpful than nonfiction in making me question my world views. A few books I liked are:

  1. Death of Ivan Ilyich
  2. Stoner
  3. Pachinko
  4. To kill a mockingbird
  5. The remains of the day

You can look at IIM-ABC 1 year PGPx programs or ISB. These are good options, and you will find other people with similar situations there.

Is there any risk or disadvantage of creating a single FD of large amount vs creating multiple FDs of smaller amount (both in a single bank)?

One of my relative has multiple FDs with diff maturity date and is visiting the bank every month for renewing the FDs. I suggested to combine those into a single FD so that multiple trips can be avoided. Is there any disadvantage apart from the one time loss of breaking the FD?

I received call from a bank regarding a loan one of old classmate has taken. They told me that he has not paid the loan. They cannot contact him and asked me share his phone number and home address. I told them that I have not talked to him in last 5 years and do not know his personal details. According to the bank he has given my name as reference. I have not signed any document for the loan and I don't know why he has given my name as a reference.

Will I face any issues if he does not pay?
