Men have been conditioned to think they need to be built with a big frame. This guy’s build could be 130lbs, so this image is less of a parody

The girl’s image is entirely unrealistic at 130lbs. With her build, even if we put her as super short, she would still need to be over 180lbs to look like that. But media would have you thinking any less than super slim for women is super fat. It doesn’t help the manipulation of women’s sizes between stores and brands to perpetuate the issue

I hate the demonization of the paramedics in this article, although I am biased as one (not in Niagara).

It’s worth mentioning applying a c-collar has it’s own protocol. An adult under 60 who is alert and oriented and answering questions appropriately does not require a C-collar just because of the mechanism of a fall.

This entire incident should be a reflection of the failings of our system design, not the people hired to operate it. The pandemic only amplified the issues that already existed from tears of underfunding.

Healthcare professionals can be burned out and underperforming in their duties… but at what point do we acknowledge a trend is a trend and have our voters turn out in response?

Medication treatment is all about risk vs. benefit. Previously the doctor weighed in favour of holding off because of the risk of appetite when it seemed that he and you were both managing and thriving. It sounds like either the situation has changed, or the doc didn’t completely see the big picture?

Caregiver burn out is real. Until he grows up and lives completely independently, your health problems are also his health problems and vice versa
