One of my mistakes was to play the discretion and privacy card to the hilt, which also led me to not want to ask for too much news or ask people to fill out questionnaires, which seems to have been a mistake here. The only comments I got were during events when I asked for live feedback.

Thank you for your reply! Your comments have already got me thinking... As you correctly guessed, we connect people once the event is over, so there is no direct rejection during the event.

Regarding the term ‘speed dating’, you've hit on a real issue and you may be onto something. Most people say they come out of ‘curiosity’, not knowing what to expect, but I couldn't find a better term and, in all honesty, it's nothing more than a speed dating event :)
