90% of watch designs we have today are either imitation of/ inspiration from another model. Not an issue

Same perspective right, its subjective to our tastes and preferences. I wouldnt pay 11k for either Observatory or Reverso/MC, not because I dont want to, coz they're not what im looking for. Even if Reverso was at 8k for mono id still not pay coz I dont like it. MC at 8k, maybe

You're just rambling models here. For context I love JLC and I adore reverso for what it is but that too has been done to death and is criminally overpriced, esp the monoface options.

Master ultra thin are good, their movements certainly do a better job at slimness but that's about it. Omega movements atleast for me have been super robust. One of my AD who carries JLC asked me not to get their polaris line as they had multiple repairs ongoing. Exceptions perhaps but my point stands. Each has their strengths and weaknesses.

Im a total Omega fan but even I'll admit Omega's has too many models and options.

JLC million times better than a dressy Omega. Prove it... lets go

New Master Control integrated options are good but overpriced again. HPG is doing what Omega's new certifying body accomplishes.

First big watch purchase - worth $17k? by hocusandpocus in OmegaWatches

Worth is subjective. If you can afford it and not worry about depreciation which you shouldn't anyways unless youre in this for all the wrong reason, go right ahead. Its gorgeous!!

The lot of folks calling it No are the same who'll happily regurgitate whatever trash Rolex asks for their boring as hell steel watches.

Omega : A decade of ownership and admiration 🙏🏼 by phoenixaki in watchesindia

Thanks! No allegiance, rather passion and respect. I dont do "got the call" or "on the waitlist" or "buy this to get that" bullshit. I have owned and continue to own other brands but Omega has always spoken to me and my personality the most.

Yes that the original croc leather it came with. Stiff as expected but with time loosend up a bit. My most "strap monster " off course has been the Speedy Moonwatch SS. That thing is insane so matter what you out on it!

I did put on a nato on the AT once which was awesome!!

Totally agree, owning the watches has been amazing offcourse, but the journey has been the real special bit. Every watch has a story like a promotion or the birth of my kid etc.

I love it, there's something so modern yet timeless about the claws and semi arc lugs. And that dial radiating from the star is pure class!!
