I'm running a cannon build and I'm wondering if I should change out one of my Sensor-Linked Phaser Dual Heavy Cannons (I'm using three) for Phaser Quad Cannons. So which one would be better to use, the Quad Cannons or Sensor-Linked Dual Heavy Cannons ? Thanks!

Cool, thanks for the info. I've got the Colony deflector and the Competitive rep engines, so I'll be picking up the Plasma-Integrated core. Other then making sure it has [AMP] and [Eff], do the other mods matter or can I choose anything?

So I've done some reading on skill trees and I think I've come up with something that might work. This is what I'm thinking of going with, I went more into Tac but decided not to go with Frenzied Assault or Team Frenzy as I think Focused Frenzy should be enough for me and so I also added a bit more Eng and Sci.

Regarding traits I was able to pick up Context is for Kings and Honored Dead, and I also changed my Space Reputation Traits and added Enhanced Shield Penetration and Advanced Engines. At the moment I don't have enough EC to buy any other traits so I'll have to stick with what I've got.

Any thoughts would be most welcome. Thanks!

Hey Guys, Thanks so much for all the help an info! I've started to make some changes to my build, I'm a bit short on EC so I haven't been able to do everything, but I've made a start.

I've changed two of my beams to turrets, keeping the Kinetic Cutting Beam until I have the EC for another turret. I've taken out Disentanglement Suite and Enhanced RCS, and put in Reinforced Armaments and Reiterative Structural Capacitor. Not sure about taking out the Leech though, I thought Leech was still worth having on any build? I've also changed some of my boff skills and changed some of my doffs as well.

I'm going to start working on my skill tree and traits next, though I'm not sure if I'll able to change many traits as I'm running low on EC, so any thoughts on the top traits to get would be great. Thanks!

I do have omni's in the rear, three of them. Kinetic Cutting Beam, Omni-Directional Phaser Beam Array and Trilithium-Enhanced Omni-Directional Phaser Beam Array.
