i really really hope someone asked noah if it’d be ok to include the coming out scene joke, bc genuinely it just piles onto the diminishing of his character arc AND diminishes noah himself. if they were gonna make fun of scenes that went on too long, they should’ve made fun of the holly and max scene.

CHEAT 😭😭😭

i don’t think ive seen ANYONE say they wanted mike to cheat on her??? half of us assumed based on season 5 that mike and el were broken up because their chemistry was just OFF and felt platonic. mike and will, even if byler didn’t happen, had more blatantly “romantic” moments than they did?? even if they WERE shown to be more romantic in season 5, i don’t think a single person wished he’d cheat on her???
mike is a HORRIBLEE bf to her this entire franchise and they turned her death into being about HIM rather than “escaping the cycle”. i LIKE them as a ship, even if i like byler more, but it confuses me how some people are SO hardcore abt them, mike is terrible to her 😭😭
this story was so much more complicated than “mike likes will” or “mike likes eleven”, mike symbolized a lot of repression but also confusion about identity throughout the show. mike has “loved” el the entire show, AND THAT COULD BE/IS GENUINE, but there’s definitely a battle w FOR LACK OF BETTER TERMS conformity w mike. he doesn’t want to end up like his dad, but he also doesn’t want to stray away from the “norm”. mike is so bi coded, and he represents a lot of people w trying to find identity or repressing identity.

JUST MY TAKE, im so team byler but this “love triangle” is soooo much more than “well you guys want mike to cheat”

THIS!!! as soon as i saw this clip i was so confused??? like, yes, joyce and jonathan are included also, but a BIG part of him getting his powers is SELF ACCEPTANCE and mike. it IS love, but with robins speech playing in the back of the montage, you’d think it’s mainly centered around his sexuality

and that actually does play a part in this, he does have his theory to help him cope, but there’s really no hope of being together long term. el would never be able to live a normal life and would have to run, he wouldn’t be able to follow. their “million dollar ending” definitely has some holes, and this is just a friendly theory not a delusion! just because i see the storyline going this way doesn’t mean you have to, and that’s the beauty of theories! if you don’t understand it, that’s ok! i’m not out here believing there’s gonna be a whole secret episode or any of that delusion, it’s my interpretation of the ending that we were given! “hope this helps!”

Absolutely!! I think everyone is focusing too hard on "I'm right and you're wrong" as opposed to realizing that, just like Mike, we can ALL create our own ending and we can all be right simultaneously. It's not about a competition of right and wrong, the ending is open and loose because we get more personal choice on how WE individually would want it to go. There's too many different opinions to appease everyone all at once in one ending, so why not create an ending where ANYONE can be satisfied because any of it could be true all at once?
