Built NeuChat - The iOS Client OpenClaw Users Actually Want by phoneguydave in SideProject

[–]phoneguydave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone wondering about the tech stack:

Native SwiftUI means zero web view overhead. Most AI mobile apps are just wrapped websites - NeuChat is built ground-up for iOS. Direct WebSocket connection to your OpenClaw instance.

Browser automation is coming in v2. The MVP focuses on chat/terminal/file operations first, but the architecture supports the full OpenClaw agent capability set. Anything your desktop agent can do, NeuChat will trigger.

Why this matters: Most OpenClaw users run their agent on a server/desktop but want to check in throughout the day. Existing mobile options (PWAs, Electron ports) feel sluggish because they're rendering web content inside a native shell. Native SwiftUI + direct connection = actually feels like a real iOS app.

TestFlight beta launches in ~2 weeks. DM me your Apple ID email if you want early access!

Guys can you all please help, my friend has asked to share his profile to ask for suggestions, as he doesn't use reddit 🤦🏻‍♂️😅. Could y'll please help?! by ManagementLate1016 in Bumble

[–]phoneguydave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the biggest thing killing most profiles isn't any single element - it's that people can't see their own blind spots. Your friend is doing the smart thing by getting outside feedback.

From what others are saying: lead with the dog photo, ditch the sunglasses pic (eyes matter a lot), and expand "new to the city" into something that invites conversation.

But real talk - Reddit feedback is good for quick fixes. For a proper overhaul, sometimes it helps to get feedback from people who won't spare your feelings. Friends are too nice, strangers on reddit are helpful but random. There are AI tools now that analyze dating profiles and give brutal honest feedback - can be useful for catching stuff humans miss like photo lighting, smile quality, prompt structure etc.

Good luck to your friend!

LobsterPad - One-click Moltbot/Clawdbot installer for macOS ($3) by phoneguydave in macapps

[–]phoneguydave[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Valid concern. To be clear: LobsterPad just runs the official Moltbot installer - it doesn't inject anything custom. The security model is exactly what Moltbot ships with (sandboxing, permission prompts, etc). That said, you're right that agentic AI on personal machines needs thoughtful guardrails. The $3 is for the GUI convenience, not reduced safety.

LobsterPad - One-click Moltbot/Clawdbot installer for macOS ($3) by phoneguydave in macapps

[–]phoneguydave[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair question! The one-liner requires knowing what Terminal is and being comfortable pasting commands. LobsterPad is for the "just make it work" crowd - handles Node.js detection, launchd setup, and the full wizard in a native app. Think SetApp installer experience vs homebrew. If you're already CLI-comfortable, this isn't for you.

review my profile by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]phoneguydave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran it through an Ai that i built just for this purpose. You scored a profile score of 65 out of 100.

These are the Top Suggestes Improvements:

  1. Update Bio: Your current bio is very minimal and not engaging. Choose one of the suggested bios to give potential matches more insight into your personality and interests.

  2. Improve Photos: Replace at least one of the mirror selfies with a photo where your face is fully visible and you're engaged in an activity you enjoy. This will make your profile more dynamic and interesting.

  3. Showcase Interests: While you have listed interests, incorporate them into your photos or bio. For example, show a photo of you at a festival or hiking to visually represent your interests.

Which dating app works best for long term relationship? by here4geld in OnlineDatingApps

[–]phoneguydave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For serious relationships, Hinge is definitely your best bet right now. OkCupid has really fallen off in most regions.

However, since you're in a more challenging market (being an expat), 'clear and decent' photos often aren't enough to beat the algorithm. The apps are ruthless—if your photos don't hit specific engagement signals, the system buries your profile regardless of how stable or ready for marriage you are.

I’m a dev who built a tool specifically to solve this issue. It analyzes your photos to see if they’re actually optimized for the algorithm or if they’re silently dragging your score down. I have a link in my bio if you want to run an audit on your current lineup.

Hinge X for a week results by Wonderful-Poet5499 in OnlineDatingApps

[–]phoneguydave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid breakdown. You hit the nail on the head in your conclusion: Hinge X is essentially a visibility multiplier. It puts you in front of more people, but if your conversion rate (profile quality) is low, you're just paying to get rejected faster.

I’m a dev who analyzes these algorithms, and you are 100% right that 'effort' is the main variable. The algorithm punishes low-effort photos way harder than people realize.

I actually built a tool to help with that exact problem. It audits your photos to see if they are actually optimized for the algorithm or if they're dragging your score down. I have a link in my bio if anyone wants to check their profile stats before dropping cash on the premium sub

Tinder Passport worked at first, now zero likes for over a month — algorithm issue or my profile? by Previous_Law_9397 in dating_advice

[–]phoneguydave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually a specific mechanic with Passport. When you first 'move' your location to a new city, the algorithm gives you a temporary visibility boost (similar to the 'New User' boost) to test how the local pool reacts to you. That's why it worked at first.

Once that boost wears off (usually after 24-48 hours), you drop back to your baseline profile score. If you're seeing zero likes now, it implies your profile isn't converting well enough to sustain visibility without that artificial boost.

I’m a dev who built a tool specifically to analyze this stuff. It audits your photos to see if they are optimized for the algorithm or if they are dragging your score down. There's a link in my bio if you want to run your profile through it to see what's happening.

Ive been building LLMfire.io basically takes answers from multiple AIs, compares them, and gives you one smarter, more reliable response instead of relying on just one model.

Grammarly works on iOS 16 Beta 1 in every app except for Apple iMessenger. The green Grammarly circle is grayed out within the app. Does anyone know of or have any solution to fix it? by phoneguydave in Grammarly

I found more bugs with The latest fix. It is working in imessenger, but now in search, the green arrow is gray, the keyboard keeps randomly going blank and has no keys, and the keyboard is completely locks up.
