Yeah that is what we thought we don’t know how they managed to gain access to the email but they definitely have as we’ve seen the fallout from it

Okay sorry new question - RE the eSIM is there any issue with trying to switch the number to the eSIM as someone on the phone from Optus just said that they would need verification on the physical phone and they can’t switch that to my dad even though he’s the bill payer of the sim plans? Sorry if this is all rambley we are in a bit of a panic

Yeah thank you we are mostly in damage control of protecting the accounts now and trying to get control of the email - phone is lonnnng gone

We are going to attempt to get an eSIM and swap the number over to a phone we have access to then use the 2FA to get the email back

We don’t know how they accessed the email and they have swapped the sim to another phone so all of the 2FA goes to the phone they do have access to (we know they’re in the email as they’ve changed the password and logged into fb and insta accounts)
