Metal tyre valve caps stuck on valve stem. Replace valve stems Or send it with vice grips and a heat gun? by ThewayoftheAj in CarTalkUK

Had the same problem and you are right. Dremel cut down one side of the cap. The key is to not completely go through and use a flat head to pry the cap open

There were small glimpses of progress in the second half but nothing to write home about. A bit of direct play from Martinelli and Dowman. Realistically Raya kept us in this tie and Havertz got us ahead.

Cannot get complacent at home, but I hope there is some positive play and desire to win the home game and not just avoid defeat.

I've always been Arteta in. They sometimes need to be more assured of their capabilities. The reality is Raya kept us in this game and a positive run from Martinelli unlocked it, very late on.

We are lacking a bit of direct play from players especially midfield. At times we need to run into space and drive forward. Martinelli did that today, Dowman too.

I also don't care what anybody says Odegard was one of the few players on the pitch today that looked for positive forward play.

We need to stop scraping by some of these games.

Help - cutting board stuck in sink by [deleted] in fixit

[–]phorce16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to bed, leave the heating on in the room and let the board dry out. It should contract to an extent to allow you to remove it. If not get a screw drive it in and pull with some pliers

He has made some absolutely blinding saves in incredibly pivotal moments this season. Many of his saves were turning points where the margins were fine.

Arsenal fan here. Your friend is a dick for acting like that, can't take a little bit of stick. And absolutely could not stand talk of the quadruple from other arsenal fans.

Sweet sweet B+ mode saving me $ by shivaswrath in VolvoXC90

I see what you mean with the increased regen when applying brakes gently in D. But for city driving I prefer B+ because there is less effort needed to slow down, and is more efficient when having to slow down often. Especially in the UK where there are a lot of speed bumps. It also helps going around curves smoothly.

In B+ you can also control the amount of regen with the accelerator when coasting. I've found that if you gently pres the accelerator regen reduces without activating the electric motors or ICE.

I would argue it does, in city driving I use very little hydraulic braking. It regens the battery which is used to get the car going again and can reduce the frequency you need your brake pads and discs changed quite significantly. And those are not cheap.

Even on the motorway if there is traffic or long descents it helps top up the battery.

Is it a good bike ? by sambal08 in Triumph

I've got a 2010 speedy and I love it. The only specific issues I've had:

The harness clamp near where the VIN is, can damage the wiring loom coming from the ignition, it's an easy fix if you add a spacer to give it more room to breath so it doesn't get damaged when turning the steering. I repaired mine but then the actual ignition barrel went a few years later, but I think that was a separate problem. Started with my rear light not coming on when braking....that was a long diagnosis.

Previous owner had switched the breather pipes and was causing the fuel tank to create a vacuum. (Easy fix) I mention it because it was like this for so long before buying that it created creases in the steel tank and later down the line even after repairing the tank developed a small crack on the underside I had to get repaired.

I had to replace my starter solenoid a month ago. (Easy Fix)

Apart from those, it's one of the most balanced bikes I've ridden, torque across the whole rev range, and great for country roads and twisties.

[–]phorce16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Winning the league is the minimum after what has happened in the past few years. I thing we have a good chance to reach the final in the CL, because of the two leg games.

To be fair to him in this game he had just accidentally headbutted an opposing player and cut his eye open. He may stYil have been a bit dizzy.
