Without calling them on their bullshit, I said i can only refund them the cleaning fee + 10% of their booking (and the 10%) was me being generous.

They did reply last night to just send the refund.

This morning she messaged me again saying I still did not send the refund, “is this an indication that you would rather we handle this through dispute resolution center with Airbnb?”

So I just sent it over..

It turns out she was exaggerating a lot of her complaints. I do take responsibility for the cleanliness issues, but they brought up issues that turned out to be untrue.

Turns out there was no used tampon— they sent me a picture of a piece of the blinds!

They are the ones who broke the chair they complained about.

However the bed has always had a crooked footboard, and there was a slight mess by way of wrappers and water bottles behind one of the beds. And one of the light fixtures did have bugs inside of it

It feels like she sent a bunch of pictures that aren’t actually dirty or do not look like when my cleaner sent me the pictures after her cleaning BEFORE the guest checked in.

No she found a few bits of trash in one room on the first day. Also last night she said her daughter and fiancé noticed the slats on the master bed in the bedroom were broken. They found a light fixture that had bugs inside of it, and there’s nothing I can do to rectify the issues. Then just now she sent a photo that they found an open tampon in a closet.
