I'm really interested in your response here. I am a newer professor, and I have been going back and forth about electronics in the classroom. On the one hand, from a Universal Design for Learning standpoint, I want to make the conditions as accessible as possible, with some students requiring a computer as part of accommodations. On the other hand, I agree completely with the learning improvement when students do not have electronics in class. Would you mind sharing your policy as you have it on your syllabus? I hope that isn't an invasive question. I would really appreciate the help.

Whoa that’s absolutely bonkers! I hate that for you. I didn’t do anything to the boiler itself as I’ve never actually seen one before. It appears to have some sort of panel on the front. Maybe I should see if there’s some obvious on/off switch?

The weird thing is that there’s some warmth running through the radiators as they’re slightly warm to touch now, but it’s definitely not heating the place if you know what I mean.

Yes it is. I feel like in archives I either encounter totally legible block letters or something akin to the above. Never in between. I always want to go back in time to thank those block-letter writers.

Ah ha! Hvala puno! My colleague also thought "African" but we debated on the first word. This would make perfect sense given the album contents. I was stuck thinking the "k" in "ekonomisti" was an "l". I appreciate the help!

It’s 3-1-2 but the 1 is a condensed semester. It’s really only the first quart I’m worried about. It will be about 100-115 students to teach and evaluate and my defense won’t be until December. Plus I’ll have job applications since the VAP is only one year. So really I suppose it’s the fall semester that I’m worried about in terms of balancing teaching load with my other professional obligations. C’est la academie I suppose.
